Perform routine and advanced maintenance for the BEUMER Individual Carrier System (ICS) used in airport baggage handling at Gerald R. Ford International Airport. Diagnose and repair faults across mechanical, electrical, and control subsystems, respond to interruptions, and execute root-cause analysis. Use SAC/PLC systems, diagnostic tools, and dashboards to monitor performance, maintain compliance records, and support upgrades and reliability-centered maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform routine and advanced maintenance on BEUMER ICS components, including diverters, scanners, and third-party interfacing equipment.
•Diagnose and resolve faults across mechanical, electrical, and control subsystems using structured troubleshooting.
•Respond to system interruptions (carrier jams, sensor faults, control logic errors) with resets and root-cause analysis.
•Interface with BEUMER High-Level Control (SAC) and PLC systems to monitor performance and execute logic-based interventions.
•Maintain maintenance logs and comply with Health, Safety, and Quality Control standards, including lockout/tagout and PPE; support upgrades and continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

•Associate degree or technical certification in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
•5 years of hands-on experience in automated material handling systems, preferably in airport or logistics environments.
•Eligible to obtain and maintain airside security clearance.
•Deep understanding of mechatronic systems (sensors, actuators, motors, and controls).
•Proficiency with BEUMER SAC systems and PLC programming (Siemens preferred) with fault diagnostics.
