Job Summary

Own a dedicated, high-impact product domain in the Vivint smart home ecosystem as a single-threaded technical product owner. Translate business objectives and customer problems into concrete, high-performing feature requirements. Drive a 1–2 year tactical roadmap, integrate hardware and software via PRDs, and continuously improve features using telemetry, system logs, and user data. Partner daily with engineering, UX, QA, and data to deliver and measure success.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop granular customer empathy and understand how/when customers use product features and hardware components daily.
•Use telemetry, system logs, and user data to track adoption, diagnose friction, and identify operational gaps.
•Define, prioritize, and drive a tactical 1–2 year product roadmap into executable feature requirements.
•Write detailed PRDs and manage the delivery cycle from prototype validation through launch, integrating hardware and software.
•Partner with engineering squads, UX, QA, and data analysts to maintain delivery velocity and escalate key trade-offs or timeline risks.

Key Requirements

•4–6+ years of technical product management experience shipping consumer-facing software features and/or IoT/connected hardware modules.
•Experience leveraging product analytics platforms or partnering with data engineering to track, verify, and improve user experiences.
•B.S. or M.S. in a technical field (Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related quantitative discipline) or equivalent practical experience.
•Ability to take broad goals and independently define a structured execution path, maintaining delivery when technical constraints change.
•Strong proficiency using data analytics tools to evaluate product health and justify prioritization with clear metrics.
