Key Responsibilities

  • •Counsel the Product team to launch new Motive Card features.
  • •Negotiate a range of contracts, including customer NDAs, issuer processor agreements, and receivables financing agreements.
  • •Support Sales with training and process improvements to streamline and accelerate the sales cycle.
  • •Review and help develop marketing content that is compelling yet compliant.
  • •Collaborate with Finance and Risk to minimize loss, investigate fraud, and create policies and processes to reduce it.

Key Requirements

  • •US-licensed and -based attorney with a minimum of 6+ years of experience.
  • •Significant time in-house, with law firm training.
  • •Experience working on emerging fintech products, especially in commercial payments (not crypto).
  • •Ability to explain US financial regulations to engineers and PMs in the context of a real product.
  • •Comfort making independent decisions when regulatory or contractual issues are ambiguous.
