Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on trucks and trailers in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems using test instruments and road testing.
  • •Inspect, maintain, and operate the company-issued service vehicle, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair orders by documenting findings, parts used, and uploading pictures using a company-issued iOS device and proprietary TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as additional degree/certification or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain and maintain an ASE T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a qualifying DOT medical card).
  • •Be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license; maintain a Driver Qualification File.
