Key Responsibilities

  • •Own commercial contracting end to end across new business, renewals, expansion, and partner/agency agreements.
  • •Build scalable contract templates, playbooks, and workflows to enable fast execution.
  • •Advise on privacy-by-design by embedding with Product and Engineering early in the design stage.
  • •Serve as a trusted thought partner to the CEO and cross-functional leaders on legal risk and how to move forward safely.
  • •Support corporate governance and related legal matters as Freshpaint scales.

Key Requirements

  • •Juris Doctor degree and active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.
  • •In-house legal experience at a technology or SaaS company, ideally at an earlier-stage, fast-moving startup.
  • •Strong experience negotiating and managing commercial agreements across the customer and vendor lifecycle.
  • •Deep familiarity with privacy, data protection, and technology-related legal issues.
  • •Strong written and verbal communication skills to influence senior leaders and collaborate across functions.
