Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist project establishment by contributing to project inception review, drawing strategy, scales/size, drawing numbering standards, and drawing production methods.
  • •Develop general arrangement, section, and detail drawings from engineers’ sketches and design team drawings, turning them into coordinated building models and details.
  • •Produce models to a high standard by eliminating errors and clashes, including self-checking drawings.
  • •Coordinate set-out coordinates, grid lines, floor levels, and building details with other team members.
  • •Comply with BIM Execution Plans and QA/document control procedures, including archiving and CDM guidelines, and support CDE document approval workflows.

Key Requirements

  • •Expert knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD, including using standard functions and coaching junior staff in its use.
  • •Prepare detailed plans/drawings for manufacturing and construction of concrete structures and erection of steel members, including columns, beams, braces, trusses, stairs, and handrails.
  • •Review and check accuracy of structural drawings using checklists and group standards.
  • •Use AutoCAD, BIM360, and Navisworks to support project CAD/BIM deliverables.
  • •8+ years of production/drafting experience in detailing structural drawings (with significant experience in a similar role).
