Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical input to cross-sector multidisciplinary internal project teams supporting the delivery of transportation, commercial/residential development and environmental infrastructure projects.
  • •Deliver design solutions for road drainage systems and flood risk management including applications of DMRB standards and SuDS.
  • •Undertake outline and detailed design using industry standard software for feasibility and delivery phases.
  • •Prepare technical reports and effectively communicate outputs to clients.
  • •Develop and broaden the technical capacity of the Roads and drainage team, contributing to project delivery and quality assurance.

Key Requirements

  • •A degree in Civil Engineering or another relevant discipline
  • •Significant postgraduate experience in drainage design for roads, active travel and civil engineering schemes
  • •Proven ability to produce technical reports and communicate outputs to clients
  • •Excellent knowledge of drainage principles, DMRB standards and guidelines (e.g., SuDS)
  • •Significant experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and ArcGIS; familiarity with InfoWorks ICM, FloodModeller, TuFlow, HEC-RAS would be beneficial
