Job Summary

Embed quality engineering discipline across the full vehicle lifecycle for chassis and safety restraint systems. Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to drive early DFM and risk mitigation, apply APQP/PPAP/FMEA and statistical quality tools, and lead structured root-cause investigations through issue containment and closure. Support prototype, DV, and PV builds, validate design intent and process capability, and collaborate on supplier quality and manufacturing process capability.

Key Responsibilities

•Embed quality engineering discipline from early design through production for chassis and safety restraint systems.
•Provide early DFM input during concept, prototype, and design-freeze phases and participate in design reviews to mitigate risk.
•Apply core quality methods (APQP/PPAP/FMEA/Control Plans/MSA/SPC) and lead DFMEA/PFMEA reviews using structured problem-solving.
•Lead cross-functional root-cause investigations, drive containment and corrective-action validation, and close issues across program phases.
•Provide on-site quality support during prototype, DV, and PV builds and validate design intent, part readiness, and process capability.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related technical discipline).
•8+ years of automotive quality or engineering experience.
•Experience supporting chassis and safety restraint systems (e.g., suspension, steering, brakes, wheels/tires, seat belts, airbags, occupant protection).
•Strong understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and tolerance analysis.
•Hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC, including prototype/DV/PV build support.
