Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical responsibility for the mechanical piping discipline across engineering projects managed by the Engineering Management area, ensuring quality and consistency of solutions.
  • •Advise Engineering Management, Superintendents, and project teams with expert judgment on evaluating alternatives and making decisions during study and execution phases.
  • •Evaluate, validate, and when needed challenge engineering solutions developed by contractors, consultants, and external advisors to ensure compliance with corporate standards, applicable regulations, and industry best practices.
  • •Make discipline-specific technical decisions across one or more simultaneous projects and escalate critical definitions that require resolution at management or superintendent level.
  • •Ensure technical coherence across projects in the portfolio, identify technical risks/gaps/deviations, propose technically grounded mitigation solutions, and verify engineering deliverables for quality, sufficiency, and timeliness.

Key Requirements

  • •Professional degree in Mechanical Civil Engineering.
  • •At least 15 years of experience in engineering designs for medium and large-scale projects with governance in multinational companies.
  • •At least 10 years participating in all stages of a project in engineering companies focused on mining.
  • •Strong technical competence in mechanical piping standards for mining and experience developing multidisciplinary engineering projects.
  • •Advanced English and a Class B driver’s license with at least 3 years of tenure.
