Job Summary

Develop and optimize machine learning algorithms to power Sephora priorities such as product recommendation, client scoring, activity forecasting, and Generative AI. Work with Sephora’s data ecosystem (Dataiku DSS and Google Cloud Platform), implement improvements in DSS, and help enable adoption by business teams through monitoring and A/B testing. Contribute as a Data Scientist on projects using large transaction and online datasets.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and optimize machine learning algorithms (including feature engineering, hyperparameters, and MLOps) and support their adoption by business teams through monitoring and A/B testing.
•Work on key team axes: product recommendation, client scoring, activity forecasting, and Generative AI.
•Take ownership of Sephora’s data ecosystem (Dataiku DSS and Google Cloud Platform), build stage-specific competencies, and implement optimizations in DSS.
•Contribute to Data Science projects with positive business impact using large volumes of transaction, online, product, and stock data to improve models.

Key Requirements

•Master’s-level (bac +5) education with a specialization in Data Science / Machine Learning.
•Strong knowledge of machine learning approaches including RandomForest, XGBoost, LightGBM, and LSTM.
•Proficiency in SQL and Python.
•Experience delivering machine learning projects and/or participating in Kaggle challenges.
•Knowledge of Dataiku DSS and/or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
