Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop long-range plans for unit machinery upgrades, overhauls, and overall equipment strategy.
  • •Apply data analysis to design engineering solutions for repetitive turbomachinery failures and related reliability problems.
  • •Provide technical support during design and installation of new assets and modifications to existing assets to maximize availability and minimize lifecycle cost.
  • •Participate in machinery design/installation specifications, commissioning plans, supplier evaluation, acceptance tests, and inspection criteria.
  • •Lead or participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis; develop and refine asset maintenance plans using preventive and predictive methodologies.

Key Requirements

  • •BS in Mechanical Engineering, with typically 8 years of relevant experience in refining, petrochemical, chemical process, or power generation industries (preferred).
  • •Strong working knowledge of turbomachinery system design, commissioning, maintenance, and operation (pumps, compressors, steam turbines, gearboxes, mechanical seals, support systems).
  • •Proficiency in predictive and preventive maintenance of machinery, including vibration monitoring, analysis, and diagnostics (Level II+ Vibration Institute preferred).
  • •Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform root cause failure analysis.
  • •Working proficiency with tools including SAP, Microsoft Office, and Meridium.
