Job Summary

Build and optimize infrastructure for TikTok’s For You Feed recommendation system as part of the Feeds Recommendation Architecture team. Work across online/offline recommendation pipelines, aligning and implementing engineering architecture for content understanding scenarios. Improve R&D efficiency through testing, deployment, monitoring, and root-cause analysis, while enhancing system stability, performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Collaborate closely across teams to support rapid algorithm iteration at high throughput.

Key Responsibilities

•Participate in engineering architecture requirement alignment, design, and implementation for content understanding scenarios.
•Improve R&D efficiency across content understanding scenarios via testing, deployment, monitoring, and root-cause analysis.
•Optimize system stability, performance, and scalability across different scenarios.
•Support the online and offline recommendation pipeline spanning strategy, modeling, and data infrastructure.
•Abstract and generalize infrastructure services, components, and productivity tools for recommendation systems at scale.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
•Solid programming and algorithm foundations; proficient in Python, Go, C++, or other languages.
•Strong backend development skills across storage, service orchestration, caching, and concurrency.
•Good product sense with strong problem-solving skills and excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
•Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch and experience with high-traffic service architectures or distributed computing.
