Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide mechanical engineering support across diverse naval platform systems, equipment, and critical marine services
  • •Support management of platform system requirements with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • •Support systems design integrity across varied engineering contexts, classes, and programme deployments
  • •Conduct investigations, impact assessments, and integration analyses to enable evidence-based and data-driven technical decisions
  • •Support safe, efficient implementation of design changes while maintaining configuration control and system integration

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 45,000

Key Requirements

  • •Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer with relevant industry experience
  • •Working towards professional registration (e.g. IMechE or equivalent)
  • •Basic understanding of complex naval platforms, systems, and equipment
  • •Knowledge of engineering standards, governance, assurance, and compliance requirements
  • •Experience in one or more areas such as mechanical systems design assurance, product lifecycle management, requirements compliance, engineering documentation, 2D/3D CAD, equipment design/maintenance, trials delivery, or safety case development
