Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform advanced mechanical repairs including engine performance, drivability, and electrical systems.
  • •Diagnose and repair brake systems, steering, suspension, complete 4-wheel alignments, and service heating and air conditioning.
  • •Inspect vehicles to meet CarMax Quality Standards and maintain shop cleanliness per 5S principles.
  • •Consult with customers on repair needs, explain services, and ensure clear communication during repairs.
  • •Review and close repair orders accurately and manage parts inventory, shipments, and stocking levels.

Salary: USD 32 - 48 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •Complete New Associate Orientation Training and Kronos/Operations training for hourly associates.
  • •Maintain ASE Certifications where required by state/local law for areas including steering/suspension, brakes, heating/air conditioning, electrical, engine repair/performance, manual drivetrain/axles, and automatic transmission/transaxle.
  • •Ability to read, interpret, and accurately record data.
  • •Capable of performing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • •Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods; flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
