Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure and oversee safe, appropriate, effective patient care in the unit.
  • •Assess patients to determine nursing interventions, prioritize needs, implement actions, and evaluate outcomes.
  • •Develops or revises the plan of care and deliver identified patient needs; facilitate patient education and shared decision-making.
  • •Coordinate overall clinical activities of the unit when assigned as charge nurse, including collaboration with the Nursing Supervisor on shift staffing.
  • •Provide advanced or specialized nursing skills and essential life support (BLS, PALS, ACLS, neonatal resuscitation as applicable), maintain accurate real-time clinical records, and act as a clinical resource for staff.

Key Requirements

  • •Have evidenced experience in managing teams.

  • •Have valid registration/licensing to work as a registered nurse with the relevant regulatory health authority.
  • •Have valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider card.
