Job Summary

Join the ESSP (Electrical Studies, SCADA & Protection) team to perform electrical studies, SCADA integration, and system protection work. You’ll support protective relaying, power system planning, design studies, networking/communications for RTUs and SCADA equipment, and logic/control systems. The role includes developing specifications, writing technical reports, coordinating site work and permitting, and occasionally traveling to project sites for troubleshooting and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform services related to electrical studies, SCADA, and system protection for power system projects.
•Conduct protective relaying activities including analysis, protection scheme development, relay settings, SCADA integration, NERC compliance, and arc flash analysis.
•Execute power system planning studies such as steady-state power flow, outage contingencies, stability analysis, batch simulation automation, and NERC compliance.
•Design and assess substation/insulation coordination and related transient and power quality studies, including using listed simulation tools.
•Write technical reports and provide support for risk identification, work plan coordination, permitting, and commissioning/troubleshooting at project sites (as needed).

Key Requirements

•BSEE (BS Electrical Engineering), BSEET (BS Electrical Engineering Technology), or BSCE (BS Computer Engineering) from an ABET-accredited university.
•3 to 5 years of industry experience performing design or device configuration in the technical disciplines described in the role.
•Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and their application to design/build and permitting-related project work.
•Analytical mindset with the ability to exercise sound judgment when evaluating situations and making decisions.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
