Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair vehicle systems (electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and more).
  • •Road test vehicles to confirm malfunctions and proper operation using diagnostic tools.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and maintain the service truck, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document work and DOT forms on Repair Orders by uploading pictures of work performed, parts used, and findings to the company application.
  • •Maintain compliance with safety, health, environmental, and federal regulations including OSHA, EPA, and DOT.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or alternative combinations such as a related certification/degree or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Hold a current and valid DOT medical card with more than four (4) months remaining (or complete a DOT physical if required).
  • •Be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license; maintain a Driver Qualification File.
