Key Responsibilities

  • •Support substation project scoping and engineering, coordinating scope/schedule/budget with the project manager.
  • •Direct and lead multidisciplinary project teams for scoping support of medium to high voltage utility substations.
  • •Perform quality and cross-discipline design reviews of substation drawing packages to ensure scope alignment with stakeholders.
  • •Perform and mentor scoping design work across client standards including one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, station layouts, grounding/foundation details, structural/control enclosure, lightning protection, yard lighting, and BOMs.
  • •Support project schedules, budgets, reporting, and prepare plans/specifications/cost estimates and safety plans; perform occasional client office travel.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • •7 to 10 years of post-education electrical engineering experience producing design deliverables for power generation, transmission, and distribution capital projects.
  • •Engineer-In-Training certification required.
  • •Proficiency in electrical engineering principles and their application to permitting and project work, including experience with rehabilitation, new design, and construction projects.
  • •Ability to plan inspections/investigations and apply relevant electrical engineering codes, laws, regulations, and compliance record-keeping.
