Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide legal and compliance services to APAC business units and entities, particularly in Malaysia.
  • •Advise stakeholders on legal implications and help identify, understand, and manage legal risks.
  • •Draft, review, and manage agreements for aviation services, procurement, real estate, and compliance-related contracts, including standard contract templates.
  • •Support the APAC compliance function with anti-corruption training, due diligence monitoring/auditing, and risk-based training of business partners and third parties.
  • •Assist with corporate matters monitoring, litigation/arbitration coordination, compliance investigations, and processing whistle-blowing reports via OpenLine.

Key Requirements

  • •6-8 years post-qualified experience as in-house generalist legal counsel or lawyer.
  • •Strong experience providing comprehensive legal advice across matters including contract review, drafting, negotiation, litigation support, and compliance.
  • •Ability to assess legal implications and manage short- and long-term legal risks for the business.
  • •Business-level proficiency in English and Bahasa Melayu; additional proficiency in other APAC or European languages is a plus.
  • •Experience supporting corporate secretarial matters and coordinating work with relevant internal stakeholders and outside counsel.
