Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and own low-level systems across Fusion, Fusion Snapshots, Ignite, and Sched.
  • •Write reliable, well-tested code primarily in Go and C, using Rust and JVM components where needed.
  • •Work close to OS internals, including FUSE filesystems, Linux namespaces, CRIU checkpoint/restore, and process supervision.
  • •Lead multi-cloud orchestration and scheduling: provider abstractions, instance selection, autoscaling, spot-instance fault tolerance, and durable async queues.
  • •Drive performance engineering (I/O, caching, buffer pools, bandwidth management) and raise standards for testing, observability, and operational excellence, while mentoring engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •Deep experience building production-grade systems software with technical ownership at Staff level.
  • •Strong in Go and comfortable in C (or C++), working close to the operating system.
  • •Solid Linux internals experience (filesystems, namespaces, processes, signals, networking) and debugging at that level.
  • •Experience with distributed and/or cloud-native systems, including failure modes across multiple clouds.
