Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage and deliver archaeology projects remotely for developments and infrastructure based in the UK and Ireland.
  • •Lead projects from planning and other consent applications, delivering bespoke archaeological strategies and works.
  • •Prepare competitive tenders by designing scope and methodology for archaeological reporting.
  • •Produce or contribute to desk-based assessment and environmental impact assessments.
  • •Monitor approved fieldwork subcontractors and lead stakeholder, curator, and client liaison; support team capability growth and people management.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree in Archaeology.
  • •15–18 years’ experience in archaeology, with an emphasis on fieldwork.
  • •Experience managing archaeological fieldwork projects, including project, financial, and staff management.
  • •Strong knowledge of UK and Republic of Ireland archaeology/history plus the planning process and relevant environmental/heritage legislation and guidance.
  • •Membership of relevant professional bodies (CIfA) and strong written communication skills.
