Job Summary

Join Fluidstack’s Public Affairs team to lead state and local policy efforts for AI infrastructure in Texas. You’ll shape regulatory positions, draft testimony and briefing materials, and build relationships with state officials, regulators, and advocacy groups to accelerate project timelines and ensure alignment with Fluidstack’s goals.

Job Function: Government Affairs & Public Policy

Key Responsibilities

•Own Fluidstack's state and local policy agenda across AI infrastructure, tax incentives, utilities, resource use, and more.
•Draft and deliver policy materials independently: testimony, regulatory comments, briefing documents, and coalition communications that land with both technical and political audiences.
•Build and maintain strong relationships with state congressional leaders, governor’s offices, state and local regulators, and advocacy groups to ensure Fluidstack’s perspective is communicated clearly; collaborate with site development and utilities teams on data center permitting and approvals.
•Translate regulatory complexity into unblocked timelines by communicating clearly to diverse stakeholders and influencing policy outcomes.
•Track legislation and regulatory shifts to anticipate blockers and inform leadership on political risk and strategy.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 200,000 - 250,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Comprehensive understanding of political dynamics surrounding digital infrastructure, energy, land use, water use, and technology regulations in frontier markets.
•Experience creating and delivering testimony, regulatory comments, briefing documents, or coalition communications in a fast-paced, future-facing political landscape.
•Ability to leverage strong existing relationships in relevant policy communities — committee staff or officials, regulators, industry orgs, and advocates for digital infrastructure.
•Experience translating complex ideas into straightforward, plain language understandable to diverse stakeholders that results in shifting narratives and mindsets.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills with a track record in government affairs or public policy
