Job Summary

Originate residential mortgage loans by advising current and prospective clients on lending solutions that meet their financial objectives. Build and grow client relationships through prospecting and referral development, and manage the loan origination process from application through closing. Work in a branch environment providing in-person services, maintain high client satisfaction and loan quality, and stay current on real estate and mortgage industry trends while using KeyBank sales/originator systems and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

•Prospect home lending business to build new client loan originations and relationships.
•Originate and process a targeted number of residential mortgage transactions in line with Home Lending processes and product guidelines.
•Provide clients with mortgage option details, including interest rates and terms, to support informed decisions.
•Gather documents at loan registration and serve as primary point of contact during the loan process.
•Maintain sales/originator systems and workflows, and stay current on real estate and mortgage market trends while ensuring client satisfaction and loan quality.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•3+ years experience as a loan officer in first mortgage production (preferred).
•Working knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, TIL regulations, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, and RESPA regulations (preferred).
•Gather and manage loan documents, acting as the primary point of contact through the loan process.
•Strong customer service and written/verbal communication skills.
•Proficiency in sales/originator systems and the ability to generate new mortgage business and manage origination through closing.
