Job Summary

Lead and execute system-level test & evaluation for flight hardware and software, coordinating with program management and engineering teams to define requirements, perform safety analyses, and drive development, qualification, and integration testing of UAS/weapon subsystems. You’ll work across flight operations and test ranges, travel as needed, and contribute to a fast-paced, high-impact defense program.

Key Responsibilities

•Plan and execute system-level T&E of hardware and software with emphasis on resource planning, ground and flight tests, issue investigation, and process improvement/development.
•Collaborate with program management and other engineering departments to develop requirements and discuss test results with data and observations.
•Act as lead test engineer for small UAS or weapon systems to include development, certification, and integration tests of subsystems to the AUR configuration.
•Perform safety and risk analysis for testing events.
•Collect test data and perform initial data analysis for the system under test.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 113,000 - 149,000 annually

Key Requirements

•A bachelor’s degree or related technical discipline from an accredited institution; equivalent engineering experience accepted.
•3+ years as lead test conductor/director for developmental weapon or missile systems on manned/unmanned aircraft, including requirements development, test planning/execution, and test reporting.
•Ability to understand new concepts quickly, organize and coordinate work phases, and provide solutions to complex problems.
•Strong understanding of engineering concepts, principles, and theory with broad application to related technical specialties.
•Experience with National Airspace System and UAS operating rules/regulations; strong CLI skills; excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and in a team; willingness to travel for testing; eligible for active U.S. Top Secret clearance.
