Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and optimize Ore Reserves through the Life of Asset Planning (LoAP) process to maximize value extraction from mining plans.
  • •Integrate and track cross-functional initiatives impacting reserve generation and LoAP.
  • •Create reserves for existing operations and prepare mine reserve reports in compliance with relevant codes.
  • •Develop and maintain systems to streamline the reserve process, including standard database, planning, scheduling, and reporting systems.
  • •Provide specialist support and apply scanning capability to keep up-to-date with technological advancements and relevant code updates.

Key Requirements

  • •Expertise obtained from a formal qualification in Mining Engineering, Mineral Economics, or another relevant discipline.
  • •Extensive background in mine design, planning, production scheduling, and cost estimating.
  • •Completing studies including resource evaluations, feasibility studies, mine planning optimisations, and financial analyses.
  • •Demonstrated ability in planning software (Comet, Deswick, Minesight, Cadsmine, Vulcan or Datamine).
  • •5 years’ experience at a mid-management level in mine planning or survey within the organisation.
