Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare and deliver shift handover briefs.
  • •Monitor, triage, analyze, and investigate alerts using SIEM toolsets; log data and network traffic.
  • •Categorise suspected incidents according to the Security Incident policy and recognise intrusion attempts and compromises.
  • •Write high-quality security incident tickets and conduct permitted remediation to inhibit repeat attacks.
  • •Produce security incident review reports and automation workflows to improve detection and response.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum of SC clearance and be prepared to undergo DV clearance.
  • •Technical skills in Python and/or scripting; strong knowledge of Windows, OS X, and Linux.
  • •Experience using Splunk and Sentinel, and working with a range of security tooling/technology.
  • •Strong understanding of security architecture (especially networking), threat intelligence, threat actors, and TTPs.
  • •Experience investigating complex network intrusions (e.g., state-sponsored groups or targeted ransomware attacks), including TCP/IP traffic analysis.
