Key Responsibilities

  • •Own electrical design across feasibility, concept, scheme, and detailed design through procurement support, construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • •Define and validate power architectures (e.g., utility intake, MV/LV distribution, UPS topologies, generators, switchgear, PDUs, STS, busway, earthing, and lighting).
  • •Lead power systems studies and protection design, including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc-flash, and harmonic analysis using ETAP/SKM.
  • •Integrate monitoring and controls (BMS/EPMS/SCADA), metering strategies, and resilience features aligned to availability objectives (e.g., Tier II–IV).
  • •Assure compliance with standards and codes (e.g., IEC/BS/EN and/or NEC/NFPA), coordinate multi-disciplinary interfaces, and embed decarbonization and energy efficiency strategies.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience delivering electrical project work across data centres and mission-critical environments, including hyperscale and/or multi-site fast-track or design-build environments.
  • •Proven ability to lead data centre electrical project work streams across the UK and preferably across EMEA.
  • •Client-facing and work-winning experience with strong commercial acumen, including managing project financials.
  • •Strong team leadership and capability for mentoring and development.
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with detailed knowledge of electrical design engineering practices and interfaces for data centres.
