Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan and deliver engaging, challenging, differentiated PE lessons aligned to the school curriculum and England’s National Curriculum requirements.
  • •Develop students’ physical skills, tactical understanding, fitness, confidence, and enjoyment of sport, including differentiation for different abilities and additional learning/physical needs.
  • •Use teaching, coaching, and assessment strategies to maximise progress; assess, record, monitor attainment, and provide constructive, timely feedback.
  • •Plan and maintain schemes of work, lesson plans, and learning resources; support curriculum review and participate in reporting, moderation, and departmental assessment processes.
  • •Contribute to extracurricular and competitive sports programmes, including coaching teams, supporting competitions and tournaments, organising fixtures, and ensuring student safety and wellbeing.
