Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data for substation components, equipment specifications, and design review processes, aligned to IEEE/NESC/NERC requirements.
  • •Perform entry-level electrical engineering tasks for design deliverables such as wiring diagrams, substation layouts, bus arrangements, grounding grid design, and lightning protection.
  • •Support routine engineering functions for equipment sizing, AC/DC panel design, and conduit and trenching strategies to ensure safety and functionality.
  • •Under supervision, develop basic electrical calculations for loads, feeder sizing, voltage drop, grounding, lighting circuits and controls, facility/electrical service, and power distribution.
  • •Generate accurate project documentation using electronic systems and drawings while complying with safety guidelines and site-specific procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
  • •0 to 1 years of building engineer experience post-education.
  • •Excellent research skills with an analytical mindset and general understanding of electrical engineering for large capital projects.
  • •Familiarity with relevant engineering/electrical construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
  • •Basic proficiency in technical writing and office automation/software/spreadsheets; familiarity with discipline-specific design software (e.g., CADD, Aspen, CAPE, AutoCADD electrical).
