Job Summary

Provide a wide range of banking services for customers, including opening/closing and maintaining deposit and IRA accounts, renewing time deposits, processing account maintenance, and responding to account inquiries. Identify client needs and sales/referral opportunities, explain products and services, and help meet sales goals. Maintain privacy and the bank’s professional reputation, complete accurate reports and records, and support the broader banking center through training, coordination, and treasury management services.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform financial service functions including opening, closing, and maintaining checking, savings, time deposit, and individual retirement accounts, as well as related services like safe deposit boxes, savings bonds, credit cards, and basic consumer loans.
•Answer questions and solve client problems by listening, collecting data, and securing answers.
•Profile clients to identify sales opportunities, use lead lists and strategies to generate additional business, and meet sales production goals.
•Receive and process new accounts and changes to existing accounts (e.g., name changes, address changes, product changes) while maintaining customer privacy.
•Complete required reports and records accurately and promptly; attend training classes; oversee year-end reporting and banking-center-level projects as needed.

Key Requirements

•High school graduate or equivalent education.
•Good understanding of financial services and products provided.
•General customer service experience required.
•Excellent communication and public relations skills.
•Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment (including 10-key and telephone), with solid math and bookkeeping abilities.
