Job Summary

Join ATI’s Forge Department at the Bakers facility in Monroe, NC. As a Manufacturing Associate, you’ll operate and set up shop-floor equipment—like furnaces, cut-off saws, grinders, and material-handling tools—while following standard operating procedures and safety policies. You’ll measure and mark dimensions, work from mill orders to meet customer specifications, troubleshoot faulty equipment or defects, and maintain required material identification and log records through cross-training and job rotations.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate and set up shop-floor equipment safely in accordance with standard operating procedures, including cross-training and job rotations
•Detect faulty equipment and defective material during operations
•Mark dimensions and use correct measuring tools (e.g., tape measures)
•Work from mill orders and procedures to obtain specifications such as dimensions and tolerances to meet customer requirements
•Maintain required work and material identification, and verify data collection to keep logs, records, and required paperwork

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED
•1 year of manufacturing experience
•Ability to follow written and multiple instructions and work independently with motivation
•Attention to detail and ability to set up and operate machines safely within standard operating procedures
•Ability to read a tape measure and other measuring devices
