Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the day-to-day legal partner to HR and business leaders on terminations, discipline, accommodations, leaves, internal investigations, reductions in force, and policy design.
  • •Own agency matters end to end, including EEOC and state-agency charges, DOL, OSHA, regulator inquiries, and mediations.
  • •Own a portfolio of employment litigation and arbitration matters from intake through final resolution, handling directly where it makes sense and managing outside counsel where needed.
  • •Occasionally handle traditional labor matters such as union representation petitions and related NLRB proceedings with senior team members and outside counsel.
  • •Monitor labor and employment law developments across a multi-state footprint and help build AI-driven automation to extend the L&E practice.

Key Requirements

  • •J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
  • •5+ years of labor and employment experience, preferably with exposure to day-to-day counseling, agency practice, and employment litigation/arbitration.
  • •Traditional labor experience is a strong plus, including union representation petitions, NLRB elections, and unfair labor practice charges.
  • •Demonstrated ability to manage employment disputes through negotiations, mediations, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and hearing/trial preparation.
  • •Ability to communicate trusted-advisor guidance to HR and executives and build relationships early in decision-making.
