Job Summary

Originate residential 1st mortgage loans for branch offices and outside referrals, driving mortgage loan sales and cross-selling objectives. Focus on selling CRA products and services to low to moderate-income individuals/areas and non-profit organizations, managing each loan from application through closing. You’ll develop referral relationships, run applicant training seminars, maintain required documentation and pipeline reporting, and coordinate with Consumer Lending leadership while staying accountable for risk and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop CRA prospects and referral contacts, including realtors, builders, and professional/personal contacts.
•Maintain knowledge of mortgage company policies, procedures, loan products, processing, underwriting, and departmental guidelines.
•Conduct homebuyer-training seminars for CRA potential applicants and handle employee loans as needed.
•Complete applicant applications using Fannie Mae form 1003, collect documentation, and deliver loan packages within management timelines.
•Manage the loan pipeline through closing and provide required management reports and timely updates to applicants/referral sources.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory; four-year college degree preferred.
•Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines.
•Knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
•Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending.
•Demonstrated organizational skills, strong written and verbal communications, teamwork, customer service, and computer skills.
