Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead daily close, trade capture validation, exposure, risk, performance, and working capital reporting, including inventory controls and exception management across physical and financial commodity trading.
  • •Own valuation governance, including CTRM deal-entry standards and independent curve validation to ensure fair, consistent, controlled valuations.
  • •Partner with Commercial Trading, Scheduling, and Transaction Services to evaluate transaction implications and support asset-network optimization through transparent reporting on flows, balances, logistics, constraints, and margin drivers.
  • •Maintain and enhance control frameworks across the trade lifecycle (inventory, valuation, hedge, limit, reconciliation, escalation) and drive the short-term CTRM implementation agenda.
  • •Transition from weekly to disciplined daily reporting and define a longer-term roadmap for AI-enabled analytics and automation; investigate and reconcile P&L variances and inventory movements while mentoring the Middle Office team.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
  • •Significant experience in commodity trading middle office, risk control, product control, or commercial operations in an asset-backed trading or industrial manufacturing environment.
  • •Strong knowledge of physical commodity trade lifecycle processes, valuation principles, P&L attribution, exposure reporting, and inventory accounting/standard-cost valuation.
  • •Hands-on CTRM implementation experience, including requirements, process design, testing, data migration support, reporting outputs, controls, user adoption, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • •Ability to reconcile trading performance, daily P&L, and inventory movements to existing management information; lead teams and manage priorities under daily reporting deadlines.
