Research Scientist Graduate (ML Recommendation Systems) - 2026 Start (PhD)

Join an Applied Machine Learning team delivering end-to-end recommendation solutions across ByteDance’s recommendations, ads, and search systems. You’ll build and scale recommendation models, research multi-modal approaches using text/image/video, and pioneer long-term personalization via reinforcement learning. Partner with infrastructure to co-design high-performance, low-latency training and inference, and work with product, engineering, and design to test, deploy, and validate model impact in production.
