Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare detailed engineering drawings and schematics for control and protection panels (400kV to 11kV) for substations.
  • •Develop layouts for OHL/UG cable feeders, transformer control, and relay panels.
  • •Create and update single line diagrams (SLDs), bus bar protection schemes, and equipment details.
  • •Convert and retrofit existing designs (PDF to DWG) while ensuring logic matches for new and existing substations.
  • •Perform cable sizing, AC/DC load calculations, relay settings, and fault level analysis, supporting quality checks and project documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Diploma or degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
  • •4–7 years of experience in substation Transmission & Distribution and renewable projects (onshore/offshore wind/solar) including BESS.
  • •Thorough knowledge of substation protection & control in the US, including National Electricity Code, technical specifications, guidance notes, and design handbooks.
  • •Strong drafting/design skills for substation protection & control, including AutoCAD proficiency.
  • •Familiarity with US projects and ability to work with raster image files; AutoCAD Script and E-Plan are desirable.
