Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate as Lead Mechanical Engineer on selected projects, controlling technical delivery, costs, changes, and programme at all stages.
  • •Produce mechanical design work including design/engineering calculations and specifications, and support feasibility through concept and scheme designs.
  • •Prepare flowsheets and engineering line diagrams, and supervise plant layout and pipework design including 3D modelling.
  • •Generate and oversee data sheets, piping and equipment specifications, technical appraisals, and selection.
  • •Provide site support during construction and commissioning and support design studies, safety reviews, and Designers Risk Assessments; supervise graduate engineers.
Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience
  • •Degree qualified in mechanical engineering (BEng, BSc, MEng)
  • •Practical knowledge of the design, engineering and specification of process plant and piping in process-related industries
  • •Specific expertise in process plant and piping design for pharmaceuticals, food and fine chemicals
  • •Knowledge of CAD and 3D modelling software, including pipe stress analysis (Caesar II or equivalent)
