Job Summary

Lead US GAAP technical accounting research and prepare position papers, documenting key judgments and estimates for management and external auditors. Support finance teams and business partners on contracts and operational accounting, including implementation and compliance with new requirements. Own quarterly contingency/one-timer reporting, monitor and communicate GAAP/SEC and disclosure updates, draft and update AFM accounting policies, and assist with quarter-end close documentation.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead technical accounting research and prepare position papers, documenting conclusions of key judgments and estimates with management and external auditors.
•Support finance teams and business partners on technical accounting matters, including research, analysis, and documentation for contracts and operational matters, and help implement and comply with new accounting requirements.
•Ensure the quarterly contingency and one-timer reporting process is executed with no exceptions.
•Monitor, assess, document, and communicate new GAAP, SEC, and other accounting and disclosure issues.
•Draft and update AFM accounting policies and memos, and coordinate with departments to provide and vet financial information.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
•CA (or equivalent) qualification required.
•5 to 8 years of combined technical accounting experience, including Big-4 and/or controllership in large multinational publicly held companies.
•Detailed understanding of accounting rules with excellent verbal and written communication skills for complex topics and executive stakeholders.
•Exposure to ERP accounting and finance systems such as SAP is preferred.
