Key Responsibilities

  • •Identify and advise on legal issues across privacy, data protection, intellectual property, marketing, online safety, AI regulation, platform, competition, and consumer laws.
  • •Advise product development and go-to-market strategy, including partnership terms and consumer-facing terms, with risk mitigation for new AI tools and products.
  • •Contribute to the development and operationalization of company-wide AI policies, processes, and legal frameworks.
  • •Draft and maintain legal playbooks and internal guidance for AI tools and technologies.
  • •Participate in review and coordination of privacy or data security incidents, including investigations, notifications, and resolution efforts.

Key Requirements

  • •Legally qualified with an AUS/NZ, UK, EU, or US practising certificate.
  • •10+ years practising law, with some in-house experience, preferably in a technology company.
  • •Familiarity with key global digital, AI, privacy, consumer, and online safety laws and regulations (e.g., EU AI Act, GDPR, Digital Services Act, Online Safety Act(s)).
  • •Deep understanding of modern AI technology and products, including generative and agentic AI and their privacy, IP, safety, and regulatory considerations.
  • •Comfort collaborating with team members across other time zones.
