Job Summary

BIM Technician responsible for creating high-quality BIM models for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEPF) services using Revit MEP, with QA oversight and team coordination. You’ll switch to AutoCAD as needed, develop plant room layouts and coordinated service drawings, and ensure adherence to WSP CAD standards while collaborating with project engineers and BIM managers.

Key Responsibilities

•Produce BIM models for MEPF services using Revit MEP and agree drawing strategy with project engineer and CAD Manager
•Switch to AutoCAD for design drawings as priority dictates and prepare plant room layouts, sections, and coordinated services drawings
•Coordinate with project team to set deadlines for drawing/model production and input to coordination of engineering services
•Develop general arrangement drawings from engineers sketches and other design team member drawings and convert sketches into coordinated building details
•Ensure drawings comply with WSP CAD standards and QA processes and participate in training to extend knowledge

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent
•Vocational Course in Engineering or equivalent
•Working towards engineering registration within jurisdiction
•Typically 3-4 years’ experience in BIM/Revit
•Developing 3D Revit skills and ability to produce 2D Revit documentation according to BIM Protocol
