Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct desk studies, site inspections, rockface surveys and geomorphological mapping.
  • •Plan, design and support ground investigations, including supervision of fieldwork.
  • •Interpret geological findings and prepare interpretative reports.
  • •Analyze geotechnical data and develop ground models to support design and reporting of ground engineering solutions.
  • •Use digital tools such as Openground and Leapfrog for ground investigation data management and 3D geological modelling.

Key Requirements

  • •A degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology/Geology with a 2:1 (or equivalent) or higher.
  • •Proficiency in Microsoft Office; competent use of AutoCAD/Civil 3D is desirable.
  • •An MSc/MEng in Soil Mechanics, Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology is advantageous.
  • •Willingness and ability to work towards professional qualifications through the ICE, IOM3 or The Geological Society.
  • •Must have the right to work in the UK.
