Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist the Agronomy Sales Representative with crop scouting, soil sampling, and field agronomic problem solving.
  • •Design, monitor, and summarize farm trials to provide information to customers and CHS agronomy teams.
  • •Use integrated pest management techniques to determine treatment thresholds.
  • •Generate written reports and present them to supervisors and/or customers.
  • •Learn agronomy products/services and assist with over-the-counter sales, product delivery, warehouse/agronomy plant operations, invoicing/inventory via Agris, and inventory/equipment/facilities maintenance, while maintaining environmental and safety compliance.

  • •Currently enrolled in an Ag Business, Crop Science, or other Agriculture related degree program.
  • •Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • •Agriculture experience or background knowledge is helpful.
  • •Previous internship experience is preferred.
  • •Ability to work in and help maintain an environment compliant with state, local, and CHS Environmental and Safety policy.
