Cadence is seeking a Sr Principal Software Engineer to develop and support next-generation power analysis tools at sign-off level. You will collaborate with a large team of EDA professionals to design and deliver high-performance software, write specifications, and implement solutions for external customers, leveraging your deep C/C++ expertise and experience with complex algorithms in EDA environments.

Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with a large team of EDA professionals to design and deliver best-in-class power analysis software.
•Work on complex applications that interface with other applications in a large suite to enable next-generation solutions with superior performance and usability.
•Write specifications, develop code to meet customer requirements, and work with application AEs to understand needs and implement effective solutions.

Key Requirements

•10+ years of software development experience in C/C++, with a focus on complex algorithms and performance
•Experience in developing EDA tools
•Fast learner with strong problem-solving and out-of-the-box thinking
•Graph algorithm knowledge is a plus
•Familiarity with Spice deck and Spectre tools is advantageous
