  • •Partner cross-functionally to translate business needs into clear priorities and execution plans across Product, Engineering, Analytics, Data Science, Privacy, and business teams.
  • •Own the roadmap, backlog, and measurable outcomes by connecting priorities to tangible value with defined owners, milestones, and deadlines.
  • •Drive dependable delivery by holding the team accountable for commitments and communicating progress and decisions transparently.
  • •Lead, grow, and manage performance by hiring, coaching, and developing engineers, and partnering with Staff+ engineers and architects on technical direction.
  • •Ensure data products are trusted and well-governed by setting expectations for quality, privacy, security, lineage, documentation, operational readiness, and sustainable support.

Key Requirements

  • •8–10+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or related fields, including at least 5+ years directly managing data engineers or platform teams.
  • •Strong judgment in prioritization, resource allocation, risk management, dependency management, and making difficult trade-off decisions.
  • •Hands-on technical leadership across data architecture, modeling, ETL/ELT, batch and streaming pipelines, orchestration, and scalable distributed systems.
  • •Ability to guide design and delivery using SQL, Python, Spark, Kafka, Snowflake or BigQuery, Airflow, dbt, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD.
  • •Working knowledge of data governance, quality, privacy, security, lineage, compliance, reliability, and cost management.
