Lead risk management for the residential mortgage warehouse portfolio across asset-backed transactions; perform asset- and counterparty-level credit reviews; assess fraud, reputational, and collateral risks; deliver end-to-end risk analysis and independent view; partner with ATLAS and Apollo teams to protect capital and guide deal structuring.

Key Responsibilities

•Underwrite risk in each transaction, evaluating financing structures, asset risk, originator/servicer risk, reputational and collateral risks, stress testing and analytics, and market intelligence gathering.
•Accountable for making risk decisions; act like an investor to approve transactions within delegated authority.
•Challenge the business when needed, substantiate support or dissent, and work with deal teams on structural improvements to move transactions forward.
•Participate in the deal underwriting process from inception through lifecycle, adjusting involvement based on asset class risk and liquidity.
•Collaborate with Legal and deal teams to ensure loan documents reflect the deal structure, terms and waterfalls; coordinate with Compliance and Treasury on risk considerations.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 300,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Strong subject matter knowledge of multiple asset classes in the consumer and commercial sectors; exposure to bespoke or less liquid asset classes is beneficial.
•Prior experience as an approver of credit with ability to make risk decisions within delegated authority.
•Experience underwriting corporates from a fundamental credit perspective and reviewing loan agreements.
•Demonstrated ability to challenge business units and structure deals to move transactions toward a risk-appropriate outcome.
•Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present risk concepts clearly to Investment Committee and external parties.
