Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and grow SITL environments by adding product variants and scenarios while keeping simulated sensor/video pipelines faithful and runtimes short.
  • •Build functional coverage on HITL benches across motion/trajectory execution, camera/sensor bring-up, firmware update paths, network failover, and recovery from power loss/reboots.
  • •Own CI integration end to end: scheduling, dependency chaining, artifact/log capture, result reporting, and flake triage to keep hardware pipelines trusted.
  • •Continuously grow the test platform as compute generations, payloads, and product variants change.
  • •Invest in diagnostics so failures are diagnosable from CI output alone (log capture, serial console capture, and test artifacts), and partner with teams to expand physical HITL benches and user tests.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years of professional software engineering building test infrastructure, CI systems, or simulation involving real hardware.
  • •Proficiency in Python for test authoring/automation and working ability in Rust or C++ to read and debug services under test.
  • •Experience automating tests against physical hardware (e.g., provisioning, remote power/reset control, serial consoles, network booting, instrumented benches).
  • •Strong CI/CD engineering skills for pipelines with expensive stages, hardware contention, and scheduled execution.
  • •Experience with declarative configuration and reproducible builds; Nix/NixOS preferred (Bazel/Buildroot/Yocto/IaC tooling is a solid substitute).
