Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct pre-construction and regular project meetings, and ensure environmental protection measures and erosion control practices are properly implemented.
  • •Perform inspections of construction sites and construction documentation to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • •Identify and document non-conformances, review plans and construction documentation, and ensure proper implementation of project requirements.
  • •Maintain accurate, organized project files (including photographs, correspondence, and technical data) and prepare detailed daily inspection reports.
  • •Manage inspection staff, mentor junior inspectors as needed, and coordinate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve construction issues and monitor progress.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or GED plus 6 years of related experience (or demonstrated equivalency).
  • •Experience on transportation-related projects (roadways, bridges, rail, and tunnels).
  • •U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
  • •Certification in concrete testing, compaction (asphalt, soils, and aggregate), erosion & sediment control, and work zone MOT.
  • •Knowledge of construction plans, standards, specifications, and regulations, with proficiency using inspection tools and applications.
