Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and deliver major capabilities across the Discovery Platform, from interactive customer experiences to backend data systems, through the full lifecycle.
  • •Collaborate with bioinformaticians, biologists, and product teams to understand what customers need to learn from their data and why it matters.
  • •Partner with teams responsible for ETL pipelines and algorithms that transform raw instrument data into protein quantification results.
  • •Drive technical design and contribute to architecture decisions while maintaining high standards for security, reliability, and scale; mentor engineers via code review and dialogue.
  • •Embrace AI across the software development lifecycle by prompting, evaluating AI-generated work, and exploring ways to improve building and operations.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 164,000 - 221,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in a high-performing software engineering organization; Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required.
  • •Strong command of Python/FastAPI, React/TypeScript, and AWS cloud services.
  • •Experience with relational databases and understanding of columnar data stores; familiarity with Parquet and AWS Athena is a plus.
  • •Customer-focused mindset: understand customers’ needs and how backend systems enable great customer experience.
  • •Design and operate software end-to-end with strong observability and reliability in mind.
