Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and deploy scalable data science solutions for customer use cases in Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, and Power & Utilities using Cognite capabilities.
  • •Participate in and contribute to use case generation workshops with subject matter experts to understand problems and data mapping.
  • •Perform data cleansing, exploratory data analysis, and data modeling.
  • •Implement physical models and machine learning models in Python and deploy to the model hosting environment, including agentic AI solutions.
  • •Collaborate with data engineers, project managers, and solution architects to support customer deliveries and adoption of Cognite products.

Key Requirements

  • •6–10 years of work experience as a data scientist (preferably in related industry) or as a data scientist with domain expertise in Oil & Gas or Maintenance.
  • •Bachelor of Technology/Engineering or Master of Science in a quantitative field (or mechanical, computer science, electrical, or similar).
  • •Proficient experience with Python and SQL, with production Python experience a plus.
  • •Experience with machine learning methods and techniques, statistics and/or optimisation.
  • •Must have experience with agentic AI solutions (plus: GIT; customer-facing work; cloud services like GCP, Azure, or AWS a plus).
