Key Responsibilities

  • •Under direction of Supervising Engineers/Supervisors Distribution Design, represent the company as a single point of contact for customers regarding service requests.
  • •Provide engineering services for customer requests and internally generated projects such as reliability, planning, and replacement.
  • •Engineer and design facilities needed to provide adequate electric and gas service to residential, commercial, and industrial customers.
  • •Create construction designs in accordance with company standards and policies; maintain knowledge of standard qualifications and customer billing policies.
  • •Make field inspections, prepare material and labor estimates and plats/drawings, and obtain required approvals/easements/rights-of-way to execute service contracts, permits, releases, and records.

Key Requirements

  • •Associates degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical field required.
  • •Three years relevant utility industry experience in electric/gas distribution line design or construction, including field operational experience with utility contractors or customer representatives.
  • •Working knowledge of electric and gas standards, procedures, and distribution systems.
  • •Bachelor's degree preferred and may substitute for two years of the required relevant experience.
  • •Obtain required customer approvals, easements, and rights-of-way to prepare service contracts, permits, releases, plats, and records.
